Post Graduated in History in the year 1970 and passed LL.B. in the year 1968 from University of Allahabad.

Served as Munsif Magistrate at Allahabad, Rae Bareli and Aligarh from September 19, 1972 to July 1981 and then as C.J.M./Civil Judge at Jhansi, Agra up to April 1985. Appointed in H.J.S. in May 1985 and Served as Additional District & Sessions Judge, Sitapur up to April 1988 and then as Joint Registrar, Lucknow Bench up to February 1992, Additional District & Sessions Judge, Allahabad from June 1994 to April 1995, as Additional Registrar, Allahabad High Court from April 1995 to April 2000, Registrar (Budget) in Allahabad High court from April 2000 to 2002. From July 2002 to May 2004 as Additional District & Sessions Judge, Jhansi. From June 2004 to December 5, 2004 as District & Sessions Judge, Agra and from Dec.06, 2004 to Oct. 19, 2005 as Registrar General, Allahabad High Court.

Appointed in P.C.S.(J) in the year 1972 and promoted in Higher Judicial Service in the year 1985. Promoted in the year 2002 as District & Sessions Judge.

Elevated as Additional Judge on 20/10/2005.
