FULL COURT CONDOLENCE MEETING IN CHIEF JUSTICE’S COURT ON 04.01.2006 AT 3.30 P.M TO MOURN THE SAD DEMISE OF SRI SHIVENDRA NARAIN SINGH, AN ADVOCATE OF THIS COURT.
We have assembled
here this afternoon to mourn the sad demise of Sri Shivendra Narain Singh,
Advocate.
Sri Shivendra Narain Singh was born in 1942. He was third son of late Justice S.N. Singh and nephew of Justice K.P. Singh, both of whom adorned the bench for a fairly long time.
Sri Singh started his career with the reputed firm of Tatas and served at Jamshedpur for sometime. Thereafter he did LL.B. in 1977 and started practicing in this Court and joined the chamber of his elder brother Sri R.N. Singh. He was laborious and persuasive and thoroughly dedicated to the profession. He led a simple life and was friendly to everybody and enjoyed a good reputation in the Bar. He successfully conducted a large number of cases on the revenue side.
He belonged to an illustrious family of lawyers and Judges. His elder brother Sri R.N. Singh is a Senior Advocate of this Court. Hon’ble Mr. Justice A.P. Sahi is his nephew- in-law. His two sons, namely, Sri Vishnu Kumar Singh and Sri Durgesh Kumar Singh as well as his son-in-law, Sri Vimlendra Rai, are all practicing lawyers of this court and are well established in their profession.
He died on 21.12.2005 at Delhi leaving behind his wife, two sons and a daughter.
We express our heart-felt condolence to the members of
the bereaved family.
We pray to God that He may grant eternal peace to
the departed soul and give strength to the members of the bereaved family to
bear this irreparable loss.
