Applications are invited for appointment on the “04 posts of Telephone Operator (02 for General, 01 for O.B.C. and 01 for S.C. candidates) in the pay scale of Rs.4500-125-7000 and 04 posts of Telephone Mechanic (02 for General, 01 for O.B.C. and 01 for S.C. candidates) in the pay scale of Rs. 2610-65-3540” on the Establishment of High Court, Allahabad and Lucknow Bench of the Court. They shall get the usual allowances as per admissible Rules/Government Order.
Educational Qualifications, Experience
For the post of Telephone Operator:-
1. Must have passed the Intermediate Examination of the Board of High School and Intermediate Examination, U.P. or and Examination declared by the Governor as equivalent thereto,
2. Must possess a certificate of training imparted by the Post and Telegraph Department,
3. Must possess sufficient experience of working as Telephone Operator in some Government or Semi-Government undertaking.
For the post of Telephone Mechanic :-
The candidates will have to pass examination of the academic level of Class-VIII or equivalent.
The candidates who pass the said entry level examination shall also have to appear in a ability test.
The candidates who qualify the said ability test shall be selected on the basis of seniority based on the number of hours of service rendered by them (candidates).
Age Limit
For the post of Telephone Operator:
Not less than 21 years and more than 35 years as on the 1st day of July, 2006. The maximum age limit in the case of candidates of the Scheduled Caste of U.P., Scheduled Tribes of U.P., Dependents of Freedom Fighters of U.P. and Other Backward Class of U.P. shall be greater by 05 years.
Not less than 18 year and more than 35 year as on 1st day of July, 2006. The maximum age limit in the case of candidates of the Scheduled Caste of U.P., Scheduled Tribes of U.P., Dependents of Freedom Fighters of U.P. and Other Backward Class of U.P. shall be greater by 05 years.
Relaxation in upper age limit shall be as per Government Order issued from time to time and as per order passed by Hon'ble the Chief Justice.

The appointments on the above posts shall be made on temporary basis and their services can be terminated at any time.
Fees: General S.C./S.T./O.B.C.
For the post of Telephone Mechanic Rs. 100/- Rs. 50/-
How to Apply?
Application on plain and thick foolscap paper duly typed in English or Hindi on the format given below alongwith attested copy of certificate in support of age and other Certificates and Testimonials in respect of qualification, other qualification, experience, two photographs attested by the Gazetted Officer (one should be pasted and one should be clipped) alongwith a self addressed envelope bearing postage stamps worth Rs. 22/- and Examination Fees in the shape of Bank Draft/Bankers cheque issued by Nationalized Bank payable in favour of “Registrar General, High Court, Allahabad”, should be sent to The Registrar General, High Court, Allahabad either by Registered Post or Speed Post latest by 30.11.2006. Application received after due date shall not be entertained. It is necessary for the reserved candidates to qualify the ability test for taking the benefit of roster as per U.P. Public Services (Reservation for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes) Act, 1994.

NOTE:
Candidates should affix 02 latest coloured photograph in passport size with signature thereon duly attested by some Gazetted Officer at the place provided in the application and one should be clipped.
Candidates employed in Government Department/ Undertaking should send their applications through proper channel.
The envelope containing application should be marked “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF “ TELEPHONE OPERATOR / TELEPHONE MECHANIC,” as the case may be.
Application will be rejected if photo is not pasted or Bank Draft/ Banker Cheque is not attached or if certified copy of certificates are not attached with it, or if it is not signed by the applicant or if it is not sent through proper channel in case applicant is employed.
Applications received after last date will not be entertained and the Court will not be responsible for any postal delay. The applications, which are not complete in every respect, will be rejected out-right.
Information regarding candidates found eligible for the test shall be made available on the website of the Allahabad High Court at www.allahabadhighcourt.nic.in.
7. It is necessary for the reserved candidates to qualify the ability test for taking the benefit of roster as per U.P. Public Services (Reservation for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes) Act, 1994.
