• Graduated in Law from the Lucknow University in the year 1975.
• Enrolled as an Advocate on Mar 17, 1976. Practised in Civil, Constitutional, Taxation, Labour and Service matters at Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court.
• Worked as Chief Standing Counsel for the State of U.P. at Lucknow Bench, Allahabad High Court from Mar 01, 1996 and continued as such till the elevation.
• Elevated as permanent Judge of the Allahabad High Court on Feb 05, 1999. Transferred to Uttarakhand High Court on Nov 09, 2000. Again transferred to Allahabad High Court on Feb 04, 2009.
• Appointed as Acting Chief Justice of High Court of Uttarakhand from Apr 01, 2003 to Aug 04, 2003, from Dec 18, 2003 to Jul 24, 2004 and for the third time from Jan 08, 2006 to Jan 13, 2006.
• Transferred to Patna High Court on Apr 08, 2011.
