PERSONAL AND EDUCATIONAL PROFILE:

Justice Vinod Diwakar was born and raised in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh and did schooling from Jawahar Navodaya Vidhyalaya, Sardhna, Meerut; after that, Justice Diwakar graduated from Kirori Mal College, Delhi University, and law from Campus Law Centre, Delhi University

BRIEF PROFESSIONAL PROFILE:

In January 2019, Justice Diwakar was appointed as Additional Advocate General, Uttar Pradesh, at Hon'ble Supreme Court and held this responsibility until his elevation as Judge of the High Court.

Justice Diwakar extensively worked for Delhi Police, Central Government – all ministries, Directorate of Enforcement (E.D.), Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO), Ministry of Cooperate Affairs and counsel for Hon’ble LG, Government of NCT of Delhi and Group ‘A’ Panel Advocate for Central Government in Supreme Court.

Justice Diwakar argued prominent cases on behalf of the Delhi Police while working as an Additional Public Prosecutor, GNCT of Delhi, in the Hon'ble High Court of Delhi. Since February 2017, Justice Diwakar has defended the Government of India following his engagement as the Central Government Standing Counsel before the Hon'ble High Court of Delhi and held this responsibility until his elevation as a Judge of the High Court.

Justice Diwakar was elevated as an Additional Judge of the High Court on 07.02.2023 and took the oath as a Permanent Judge on 23.08.2024.
